The Weekend Approaches

The weekend is approaching and we are dreaming of buttermilk pancakes and French toast. Mom went to work with Sugar's new owner last Saturday. They were so surprised that Mom brought a buttermilk pancake with her. After all, it was time for a heartworm pill, and the poor gal needed something good to wash that down with.

Here's Sugar's look when she is ignoring the human.

We're hopeful that Ms. Sugar has found her permanent home. She's a lot of fun when she's here, but gets us in trouble. We know we're not supposed to "get on the fence line". But, Ms. Sugar, not so much! She runs around the yard and bounces off the fence. Personally I think she's bouncing off the walls, but Mom says that's rude.
Of course, I earn my title "Sluggo" every day. It's hard to find more ways to look cute while working so hard at keeping my title.

We'll be checking on y'all over the weekend when the selfish human relinquishes the keyboard. In the meantime, enjoy your weekend buttermilk pancakes!

Lola, One Siberian Husky's Dinner

UNBELIEVABLE. This is what we put up with every single day. Mom cooks for Lola every day. Yes, every day. Here is example of her plate. What do we get? Dog Kibble (Witty gets cat kibble). Okay....it is true we get roast chicken, shrimp, salmon, pork, etc. And, we do get breakfast cooked for us on the weekends, but ..... Life at our home is just not fair. We get a couple bites each of food prepp'd for Lola, but she gets a WHOLE PLATE. Oh sure....blame it on her medical condition. We want to see those medical records! We think there is something fishy in Denmark, and it's not in our dinner bowl.

We want to know what y'all get to eat!

Foster anyone?

Here is a handsome fella that is just entering the program. He was shaved and neutered on Tuesday, and is still recovering from the mean human machine. He'll need a new foster or even adopter as soon as possible. If you know anyone looking for a sweet little chow around 3 years of age, please let us know. You know we don't want yet another dog entering our home.

Happy Cat

A big thank you goes out to the wonderful Huffle Mawson, http://hufflemawson.blogspot.com/. He's awarded me, Witty Kitty, the Happy Cat award. My special thoughts are with Huffle for the next two weeks as he endures an extra bossy kitty cat in his own home.

The rules say I have to list six things that make me happy, then pass this award on to six of my friends.

My six happy things are:

1. My husky posse that keeps me safe from all the neighborhood happenings
2. Wild grass plants in my front bed that I lay on and bat around with my paws
3. Humans who open and close the door with each meow I make
4. Neighbors who ooh and ahh over my walking with the dogs
5. Friends like Huffle
6. My toasty warm room inside during a cold winter's night

My six friends who get to share this award are:
TBD.
Ya see between the selfish humans and the sibes, I rarely get to go visiting kitty sites. I will have to find more kitty friends for sure. Everything around here is all about the dogs. Hisssssssss.

Witty Kitty

P.S. A BIGGO pardon to my friend, Huffle. I apparently have a poor command of the he/she part of the English language. Huffle, I am aware you are one hot kitty babe (and not a dude like myself). Many apologies for my mistake!

Siberian husky or bunny fur? You be the judge.

Well, what have we here? Did a bunny explode or is someone shedding? Looks like the humans did the poop patrol, but forgot the fur fragments. Sparta sits watching to see if a bunny dares to approach. Nope she doesn't confess to knowing anything about the destuffed toy. The birds are starting to swoop in to gather more fur. What a fun afternoon exploring in the yard!

Hope woo had some fun too.

Brandy pays us a visit

Cousin Brandy paid us a visit this morning. Auntie Mame adopted Brandy a few months ago, and now we get a new playmate each week. How much fun it is to see Auntie and Brandy. Brandy's a bit on the small size, but she's learning that we're not so scary. Although Brandy still retreats to under the truck or under the furniture from time to time.

Hope y'all are having some great play time too!

Lola

Wheaton Terrier Coming Soon

Look who's coming soon! This poor fella's Dad died, and he is looking for a new home. Some of the rescue humans will be shooting new photos tomorrow. We can't wait to see what he looks like. Mom is frantically seeking a foster or adopter for this fella. More on www.sibevibes.blogspot.com Sunday or Monday.

What we do know is he was placed in boarding yesterday and is playing with all the other dogs his size beautifully. AND he loves all the human contact he's getting. Maybe he's a husky cousin too!

Woo Woo Woof.
