What I love about being the smallest dog

Hey there. It's me, Heidi, Lady of Leisure. It was a gorgeous day here. I got a walk this morning, but it got cut short when 2 loose dogs (boxer and pit bull) ran up to us. The big dogs were off on their own walk, but the two new gals were very friendly and very lost. Only an hour later, Mom got them home. They were about 3/4 mile away from their family, and thankfully had tags! So, then it was bath time. You'll notice in the pics from yesterday that it was past time for suds. Mom was waiting for a warm day so we could have a grooming session outside. Here I am. Not bad for a 14 year old!

Today's posting is dedicated to why I like being the smallest dog in the house. Now most of our friends are bigger than me, but y'all do miss out on some perfectly awesome things. Here's my list of why I like being the 'lil dog.

1. I get carried whenever I want
2. I am the first Mom will take with her when she goes out in the driving machine
3. I can walk under all the other dogs
4. I always get fed first
5. I can get on the furniture
6. I am the only one allowed to chase Witty Kitty
7. When I bark everyone comes running
8. I get my own walk

Well, it's time for me to get some more human attention. Hope y'all had a pawsome weekend.

Lhasa Love,

Heidi

P.S. Update on Cockers. As of yesterday, 20 of the pups were safe, sound and almost all in foster or adoptive homes. They are still working on getting the rest of the pups. Keep those happy thoughts coming for those babies.

I wish I could be picked up and carried when I want!

And, why are YOU the only one who can get on the furniture? Sounds like doggie discrimination!!

You DO loook gorgeous, Heidi! Our smallest pack mate is our leader, Storm. Does the smallest pup always rule? She gets fed first, like you do, but Mom doesn't carry her anywhere. I wonder why not. Mom must be a slacker.
