Cats
Meow....Roar.....
It's me, Witty Kitty. Mom and Dad escaped the huskies in search of cats yesterday. Here's what they found....
Check out www.priderock.org. It's a wild cat and wolf sanctuary (no tours, but 30 cats and some wolves). The cat feeding bill alone is $1,000/week. Basically it's a couple of humans with one very part time volunteer who took in some cats that others were ready to discard. You know photographers who use cubs and then discard them as they get older... Can we help them out? Mom says if you know deer hunters in the DFW area, they love venison donations (sounds just awful to me). And, we're looking for a volunteer for next year's blogathon to help raise over $1,000 for them. That's only one week of kitty chow over there. Please help us spread the word and donate. Two humans to 30 cats, some wolves and all the stray dogs in the area...these humans are out numbered.
If anyone wants to help repair kitty kennels, make cougar hammocks from old fire hoses, or help rebuild metal roofs, give us a shout. These cats live over 20 years, and these folks are committed to keeping these guys safe and fed for life.
In the meantime, Mom says the kitty kisses are pretty rough, like mine! I'm going back to cat napping myself.
Meow.

Ok, we are usually pretty tough around kitties, but those kitties are really big! Nice kitty, kitty, kitty.

I don't think that I want to play with those kitties. They might call me "snack".

Wowzers, Witty! All the cats in the neighborhood like me... but I'm not sure those guys would! They're HUGE!

Witty, I wouldn't walk into that one striped one's cage. He looks pretty scary.

Hi friends,
Yep, we had a great Christmas. There's nothing like spending time with friends. Them sure are some big cats. I think Witty Kitty is more my size.
Maybe that little house can be a place for your folks to keep doggies that need a home until they get adopted. It sure looks comfy.
Have you gotten any snow yet? You know the Mommy os gonna do a anow post soon & if you wanta be a part of of it send us a picture of you guys playing in the snow.
Happy New Year....Mona
I was so excited I thought there might be some cats to chase when I read the title. But even I might think twice about those.
I guess they are just like i was really - someone gets fed up with us and wants to get rid of us.
I hope you and they have a good new year.
Pippa
