Saved!

It's time to celebrate! The black lab's owners have been reunited with their baby. The story is scary, but has the happy ending. Apparently our young boy backed out of his collar while on a walk, started horsing around, and got gently brushed by a car. It freaked him out and he bolted. Mom looked for him all night and kept calling the vet. Mom had back surgery the next day, so it took a few days out of the search. The amazing part is that Mom and rescuers had called the vet. The vet's office was not particularly helpful with either party. He was chipped which is how they found the vet. Unfortunately, Mom had not filed the paperwork, so we couldn't find her. Today Mom and lab are back together again! It was a long journey for both, but a happy ending for sure.

Word to the wise: if you are going to chip your dog, register the paperwork. If you have a wiggley youngster, try a harness. We want our pups home safe and sound to play tug o' war with the humans!
